Nature of the Service
CyberShard provides a non-custodial cryptographic protection service enabling users to split and safeguard private keys and seed phrases using distributed cryptographic techniques.
At no point does CyberShard have access to complete secret material.
No Custody Relationship
CyberShard is not a custodian, bank, financial institution, or wallet provider. Users retain exclusive control and ownership over their cryptographic secrets.
License to Use
CyberShard grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for lawful cryptographic protection purposes.
Prohibited Uses
- Use of the Service for unlawful activities
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or compromise the system
- Misuse of cryptographic mechanisms
Security Assumptions
The Service relies on correct user behavior. Security guarantees are conditional upon:
- Proper shard distribution
- Secure storage practices
- Confidentiality of access credentials
Service Availability
CyberShard does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or security guarantees beyond the underlying cryptographic primitives.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CyberShard shall not be liable for:
- Loss of cryptographic material
- Inability to reconstruct secrets
- Indirect or consequential damages
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which CyberShard operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
